Dark wooden door with a glass panel and a brass handle

Interior doors made to measure

We build interior doors in our workshop in Agnone: hinged and folding, in solid wood or with satin-glass and fused-glass panels, to the exact size of the opening.

What we make

A handmade interior door is built for one specific opening instead of being adapted from a stock size. It is the right choice when the opening is non-standard, when an old house has walls that are out of square, or when you want the doors, front door and furniture to match.

  • Hinged doors, single or double, solid or glazed.
  • Folding doors, which fold on themselves and need half the swing space.
  • Glazed partitions and display screens with a door, to divide a hallway without losing light.

Which wood to choose

These are the woods used in the work in our archive. If you have another wood in mind, ask us: we will check availability and how it performs.

Glass and details

Satin glass lets light through but not the view, the classic choice for bathrooms, corridors and bedrooms. Fused glass is decorated glass fired in a kiln, so every panel is one of a kind; we often use it in entrance doors.

Raised panels are the relief panels of traditional doors: they give the surface depth and shadow. Handles and hinges are chosen to suit the house, from polished brass to iron.

Why a handmade door instead of a stock one

  • Exact fit. In old houses openings are rarely square: a made-to-measure door closes properly without packing or oversized trims.
  • Matching. Interior doors, front door and furniture can share the same wood and finish.
  • Durability and repair. Solid wood can be sanded, touched up and refinished after years of use.
